Osteopathy diagnoses and treats the body as a whole to help relieve pain and restore proper function.

Osteopaths are trained in manual therapy techniques that mobilise, stretch and balance the body to assist recovery. Focus is placed on addressing function of joints, muscles, connective tissue, nerves and circulation as well as an understanding of underlying medical conditions that may impact recovery.

For a “typical” treatment with me see the blog.

Osteopaths are primary health care providers and ACC registered. We are able to register your ACC claim directly and refer for x-ray or ultrasound, if necessary.

In New Zealand, osteopaths train for five years and complete a Bachelor in Human Biology and a Masters of Osteopathy. All osteopaths are registered with the Osteopathic Council of New Zealand and must comply with the Health Practitioners Competence Assurance Act.
